Welcome to Stout Defense, P.A.

This is the first in an ongoing and regular series of blogs from Adam Stout and his firm, Stout Defense, P.A. These blogs and the rest of the information on this website are intended to be used as educational tools if and when you ever find yourself requiring the services of a criminal defense attorney.

You might be asking yourself, “do I need a criminal defense attorney?” If you have been arrested or accused of committing a crime, the answer is YES! This is especially so if you have been arrested or charged with a crime such as assault, domestic battery, a drug offense, DUI, robbery or worse. Even if you have been charged with a crime that seems less offensive, i.e., driving without a license or with an expired or suspended license, you still need a criminal defense attorney.

When choosing a defense attorney, you should select a lawyer who specializes in criminal defense – as opposed to a lawyer who practices family law or helps you write your will. Attorneys are, hopefully, experts in the areas in which they practice. So if you are being arrested or charged with a crime, you need an attorney who specializes in criminal defense. These are serious matters, and you need to act accordingly.
